Wignalls Wines was established on the outskirts of the then Town of Albany in 1982, after extensive research and investigations into “Terroir” (Environmental factors creating wine quality) by our founder Dr Bill Wignall.

Description

Complex uplifted dark blueberries and mulberry, spice and peppers have also been intensified with subtle blend of American and French oaks showing minimal charring. The palate has flavours of abundant raspberry and plum, with wild berries, with an intense fruit based sweetness typical of Great Southern Shiraz. Fine grained tannins are a feature of this superb wine.

This medium bodied Shiraz is drinking well on release, but will benefit with cellaring over the next six years due to the rich and soft tannins.
